AI Detector

Estimate whether text was written by AI and see the exact signals behind the call.

What the AI Detector does

Text produced by AI models tends to share certain features: sentences of similar length, broad statements with few concrete details, predictable transitions and tidy summaries at the end of each paragraph. Human writing usually has more irregular rhythm, specific personal detail and the occasional odd turn of phrase. This detector reads your text and points to the signals it finds, quoting the passages involved.

You get a rating of Likely human, Mixed or unclear, or Likely AI-generated, plus the reasons. Treat it as an estimate. Edited AI text, very formal human writing and text by non-native writers can all be misread, which is why no percentage is given. Use it to start a conversation or a closer look, never as proof.

How to use it

01

Paste the text, ideally a few paragraphs or more.

02

Press Analyze.

03

Read the rating and quoted signals, then weigh them with what you know about the writer.

Questions

Is the result proof that AI was used?

No. It is an estimate based on writing patterns. Both false positives and false negatives happen, so never use it as the only evidence for a grade, rejection or accusation.

Why does formal human writing sometimes look like AI?

Formal and template-driven writing share features with AI output, such as even sentence length and standard transitions. Writers working in a second language can be affected too.

How much text do I need?

A few paragraphs gives the most useful result. Very short text has too few signals and usually comes back as Mixed or unclear.

Can it detect AI-written code?

Use the AI Code Detector for source code. This tool is designed for prose.
