What the Japanese Grammar Checker does

Japanese errors often hide in small places: a particle that marks the wrong role, an i-adjective conjugated like a na-adjective, or a paragraph that switches between desu/masu and plain form. Typing with an input method also produces wrong kanji that sound right. This checker reads your Japanese and fixes those problems.

Learners preparing for the JLPT, people writing business emails to Japanese partners and anyone posting in Japanese can use it. It keeps the politeness level your text mostly uses and makes the rest consistent. After the corrected text, a short list shows each change, such as ใ‚ซใƒ•ใ‚งใ‚’่กŒใใพใ—ใŸ corrected to ใ‚ซใƒ•ใ‚งใซ่กŒใใพใ—ใŸ.

Questions

Will it rewrite my text in keigo?

No. It makes your politeness level consistent and fixes clear keigo mistakes in formal text, but it does not turn casual writing into honorific language.

Does it add furigana?

No. The output is corrected Japanese text followed by a list of changes.

Can it check romaji?

It is designed for text in kana and kanji. Romaji is better converted to Japanese script first.

Is it free?

Yes. No sign-up, up to 12,000 characters per check.
